Cav. Dama MARY CONTINI, director of award winning food emporium Valvona & Crolla, has been recognised at the annual Scottish Italian Awards dinner for her contribution to Scottish and Italian cuisine, as well as continued support and long standing presence within the Scottish Italian community.

The Scottish Italian Awards, now in its third year, aims to showcase the very best from Italian venues across the country in over 15 categories. The Lifetime Achievement award recognises an individual, who has been instrumental in the growth of Italian cuisine and Italian businesses across Scotland. An avid campaigner for eating well whilst keeping cooking simple, but using the best seasonal produce and ingredients, Mary is regarded as one of Scotland’s leading food writers and cooks.
