A chic new French restaurant – Le Bistrot – due to open in the next few weeks is set to create 20 new jobs in central Edinburgh.
Father and daughter Dean and Layla Gassabi are recruiting kitchen and front of house staff, building on the success of Maison Bleue. This already employs 35 people and is one of the best-known venues in the city’s foodie scene.
Le Bistrot is due to open on Morningside Road next week, with an extensive refurbishment well underway. It will be the first extension of the Maison Bleue brand.
The investment by Dean and his daughter comes just a year after the refurbishment of the original Victoria Street restaurant. It will have 45 covers augmented with outside seating.
