Tomorrow (Wednesday) the Asia Scotland Institute, in partnership with the Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association, will hold a talk by the former British Ambassador to Russia, SIR TONY BRENTON KCMG. How is Russia’s involvement in Syria affecting their relationships with China and the West?

In what will inevitably be a highly controversial assessment of Russia and its role as a Global, but also Asian, power, Sir Tony will explore the various forces at work both within the Russian Federation and through its dealings with India, Japan and China.
