FROM PENICUIK TO BEIJING

Animal Health Science UK, a new life sciences company specialising in developing livestock vaccines for the Chinese market, is to launch a new facility in Scotland. The company, supported by Scottish Enterprise, is based at the Moredun Research Institute in Penicuik and is aiming at sales of £1.2 million, by the end of its first year. Julia Brown, director of life and chemical sciences, Scottish Enterprise, says the company’s decision to invest in Scotland “is further evidence of our growing reputation as the ideal partner of choice in major life sciences projects.”
